A CPA by training, he has 20+ years' experience, including ten years as Management Consultant at PwC. He earned his CPA from Universidad Católica de Argentina and also holds a graduate degree in Finance
His private sector experience spans real estate, banking, energy and mining, in the U.S. and international markets
He is the primary advisor to the Board on Finance and on the firm's Latin America operations

Holding a degree in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, he later transitioned into real estate investment and development
From 2009, he served as Managing Partner at Atlantic Hotel Partners in Fort Lauderdale, and beginning in 2015, as CFO and co-owner of Miami-based RAM Development Group
Today, he is a co-founder and senior partner at USRE

His portfolio includes The Crimson (Miami), 50 Paramount (Sarasota), and multiple residential redevelopments across South Florida
A graduate of Harvard University’s Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate, he serves as a Member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board and as an Instructor at Harvard School of Design, teaching international real estate strategy
As developer, educator, and author—including “The Art of Financing Real Estate Projects”— he is an active and "hands-on" member of the USRE board

Mr. Simmons is a seasoned hospitality and development professional with over 15 years of experience in hotel ownership, finance and operations. His background includes contract negotiation, corporate partnerships, capital structuring, and team building for large-scale hospitality projects
He was a frequent collaborator and key strategic partner with USRE's predecessor entity RAM Development Group
He also owns and operates the renowned Barn View Winery, the largest producer of European-style wines in the Carolinas—and a reflection of his dedication to craftsmanship and quality across all his ventures
